We were reading scriptures together at night and talking about Alma the Younger and the Sons of Mosiah. I said, “Before the angel came, Alma and the sons of Mosiah were mean. But after the angel came they turned …” and I paused for the kids to fill in the blank with “nice” or “good”. Anslie offered enthusiastically, “into princesses!!” That angel was better than a fairy godmother!
When I ask what the weather was outside one morning, Tyler said, “Cloudy, rainy!” Anslie added enthusiastically, “Coldy too!”
Tyler about my newly decorated dining room: “Mom, it is beautiful. It feels like a temple to me.”
Me:“What’s your favorite tool, Tyler?”
Tyler:“I like trucks and I like you.”
